Discover Enghien-les-Bains with circuits to download
Discover Enghien-les-Bains by taking long walks along the lakeshore and enjoying our peaceful gardens or admiring our architecture, which tells the story of the city’s history.
- A rich open-air heritage centre -
As the only spa resort town in the Paris region, Enghien-les-Bains showcases a wide variety of architectural genres, lending an unexpected, distinctive and original charm to the town.
Architecture plays a starring role in the town, especially around the lake where each house is as imaginative as its neighbour, from medieval or neogothic castles to art nouveau and art deco properties and other eclectic styles.
- An exceptional natural setting -
Enghien-les-Bains is located in exceptional natural surroundings, just outside Paris.
The centrepiece of the town is the 106-acre lake. For some, it’s a place for a leisurely walk, while for others it’s a peaceful fishing retreat, a natural stadium for competing in water sports, or the ideal setting for a concert or fireworks display.
Take a walk along its shores and discover its pier, hundred-year-old plane trees, and parks and gardens offering stunning views over the calm water.
The lake at Enghien-les-Bains is a haven for biodiversity and provides a home for more than ten types of birds (permanent or migratory). You might spot mallard ducks, swans or geese on the water, among others.
Every year, those who enjoy fishing for sport are drawn by the wide range of fish that inhabit the lake. The main species are the roach, tench, carp, pike, and zander.
